I started my legal career in general litigation, but have found my passion in family law because I am drawn to the human side of family law, and matters of the heart and home. I approach my clients with compassion and I understand that the breakdown of a relationship leads to a lot of pain as well as confusing legal problems. I want my clients to be able to discuss their problems openly and voice their concerns without judgment.
I have a fighter’s spirit, but I want to fight within reason, and for a good reason. I bring an immense amount of energy to my practice. I will provide you with good advice, options, and a solid plan to move forward. I will fight my hardest to secure an outcome that protects your interests that you can feel good about moving forward. I can offer you a brief consultation to help you get your bearings, or represent you through every step of a complex litigation matter.
I received a Bachelor of Arts at Queen’s University in 2011, where I won awards for English and public speaking. During Law school I discovered my interest in family law while working on family legal proceedings, before the provincial court in University of Calgary’s legal clinic: Student Legal Assistance. I graduated from Law School at the University of Calgary in 2017 and was called to the bar in 2018. At the beginning of my practice I appeared in administrative tribunals, as well as the Ontario Court of Justice, Ontario Superior Court, the Ontario Court of Appeal, Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal. I now work in Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court handling matters to do with separation, custody, access, financial and property issues, divorce, child protection, and adoption.
I have a ten-year old step-son of my own, and a rabbit named Wolf at home.
